Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly working on an AI-powered version of himself to attend meetings in his place. The alleged project, which would essentially create a digital being capable of speaking on his behalf, has caused a divide among social media users, with some seeing it as a scientific breakthrough and others seeing it as outright creepy. Keep reading it for more information.

Mark Zuckerberg Reportedly Launching AI Clone Of Himself

According to a report from the Financial Times, Meta, which is the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms, which Zuckerberg currently presides over as CEO, is working on an AI version of the 41-year-old. The digital avatar would have his same voice, image, tone, and mannerisms, effectively allowing for Zuckerberg to appear in multiple places at once and encouraging staff to feel more connected to the founder.

While details relating to specifics remain limited, there is a clear divide between supporters and critics. Those who are supportive of the AI initiative see it as a logical extension of how AI is already being embedded into workplaces, while critics argue that it raises issues of authenticity and consent.

Social Media Reactions

Across social media platforms, users have not held back in sharing their thoughts on the topic. "That's how you know you're not adding value to a company," one user wrote on Instagram. "If AI can easily replace you."

"You can't make this s*** up," another person wrote.

"If they are telling you this, that means they've already created this and they have it in motion," one user speculated. "They are 10 to 20 years ahead of your knowledge."

"And this is the beginning of the robotic takeover," another person said.

"He's so awkward I already thought he was a clone or a robot," one person joked.

"As if the guy couldn't get any weirder or creepier," another user wrote.
