Mary J. Blige is proving that she’s just as much of a style icon now that she was in the 90s! The “Real Love” hitmaker, 51, graced the BET Awards red carpet earlier this week in a stunning all-white Tony Ward-designed ensemble.
Blige’s get-up was composed of a cropped, asymmetrical, one-shoulder top that revealed her toned abs and a high-slit skirt that showed off her killer long legs. To top it all off, Blige added shimmering silver gladiator-esque sandal heels, a choker necklace and stacked bangles for more exquisite and sparkly details.

The “Family Affair” singer shared her show-stopping outfit in an Instagram post for her 6.2 million followers, and gave fans a better look at her attire with a close-up and full-body shot. In the first photo, her two white garments can be seen having elegant ruching detailing and rhinestones adorning her waist and as part of her top’s strap.
In her caption, Blige wrote “Real Bad! (@yungmiami305 voice)” and tagged the BET Awards. Blige wore her long blonde hair in a timeless high ponytail and styled her tresses into glamorous waves for the event. She also rocked a pink mani, silver rings and dangly earrings to further dazzle up her look.

Naturally, fans couldn’t get enough of her outfit and headed to her comment section to let her know. “You look STUNNING!” wrote one user while another added “gorgeous and ageless!” Blige’s famous friends also hyped up her red carpet style, with Kerry Washington writing, “the baddest” and thousands of others leaving heart-eye emojis.

At the ceremony, the hip-hop icon won the BET Her Award for her new record, Good Morning Gorgeous. In her speech, Blige looked back on her legendary music and acting career. She took into account the many awards and honors she’s garnered over the years and noted that she “doesn’t take anything for granted” and isn’t ready to stop any time soon (which is great news for her fans!) “This is only the beginning for me,” she said while clutching her deserved trophy.
