Matt Lauer's Daughter Crashes Her Car

Romy, the daughter of Today personality Matt Lauer and his ex-wife, model Annette Roque, was driving her car on North Sea Mecox Road when the incident occurred. A concerned neighbor called the police at around 4am on July 5th after hearing a loud, crash-like noise.

By the time the police had arrived, Romy and her Jeep, which was still drivable, were gone, but a fence and a sign were damaged. How did they know it was Romy? Well, the 20-year-old college student didn't realize that the crash had caused her license plate to fall off, and was left behind at the scene, allowing the Southhampton Town police to identify the Today host's daughter.

The Lauer's Hire Justin Timberlake's Lawyer

Romy has been issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident, according to the police. Luckily no individuals were injured, but according to a source speaking to PageSix, a ticket was in fact issued, and local lawyer Edward Burke Jr. is reportedly "currently involved in the case and resolving this for Ms. Lauer."

Mr. Burke was recently hired to represent Justin Timberlake after he was arrested for driving while under the influence a few weeks ago in the Hamptons. While Timberlake's case is not yet resolved, Burke is famous for his ability to get big name celebrities out of sticky situations. Jury is still out on how he'll get Romy out of this one.
