McDonald’s Is Debuting A Brand New McFlurry Flavor For The Holidays—And It’s Not Peppermint
November 10, 2022 by Marissa Matozzo
McDonald’s is gearing up for the upcoming wintry holiday season with the help of a brand new, limited-time McFlurry flavor. The sweet treat that just hit the menu is the Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry, and fans are already obsessed. Here’s what we know:
This delicious dessert is made with vanilla soft serve ice cream and blended with crispy cereal mix and chunks of chocolately peanut butter cookie. That’s right, Reese’s lovers finally have an order made for them at McDonald’s!
The treat, which comes in at a whopping 510 calories for a regular size, is a limited edition item and supplies won’t last long, so if you’re in the mood for that perfect sweet and salty dessert, get yourself over to the Golden Arches, quick!
Here’s what fans have to say about the new flavor:
Last year, McDonald’s treated fans to an Oreo Fudge McFlurry as the special edition winter flavor. Here’s all the info, let’s see if it compares.
Starting November 21st, nationwide McDonald’s locations will start selling the new Oreo Fudge McFlurry, which, according to the McDonald’s website, features the chain’s “vanilla soft serve with hot fudge topping and Oreo cookie pieces blended throughout.” This is a revamped version of your typical Oreo McFlurry, as the hot fudge will create a warm, cozy feel (that we think is perfect when sitting inside and watching the snow fall!)
As Eat This, Not That reports, McDonald’s will also begin offering its new Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese along with the Oreo Fudge McFlurry on November 21st, as it aims to create a “smoky and sweet combo that the chain is hoping will become the ‘it’ pairing of the season.”
The new burger, according to McDonald’s, can be ordered as a ‘single’ or ‘double’ patty version, and features a “fresh beef quarter pound patty, two slices of melty American cheese, thick cut applewood smoked bacon, fresh Roma tomatoes, shredded lettuce, smoky sauce and a toasted sesame seed bun.” Like the Oreo Fudge McFlurry, this special burger is also only available for a limited time, and can be ordered through the McDonald’s phone app, McDelivery or in-person.
Since news of the new Oreo Fudge McFlurry dropped, many fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming menu item on Twitter, with one user writing, “I want that Oreo Fudge McFlurry so bad.” Another added, “whos going with me to mcds on the 21st for the oreo fudge mcflurry” and someone else also tweeted, “I need to try that oreo fudge mcflurry.”
Another Twitter user and McDonald’s fan had a genius idea for those of us who can’t wait for November 21st, writing, “I didn’t realize the Oreo Fudge McFlurry wasn’t out until the 21st so I went to @McDonalds and they were like “you can just get an Oreo McFlurry and add fudge.”
As for the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese, fans also showed the upcoming addition some love and anticipation, with one tweeting that the burger, along with the sweet treat, were also what they believed to be the “‘it’ pair of the season.” Mark your calendars for November 21st, folks!
