Customer Charged $18 for Big Mac Meal

A Darien, Connecticut McDonald's branch has gone viral for its absurd price for a Big Mac meal. For a simple Big Mac, medium fries, and medium soft drink, you'll have to cough up $17.59, more than any other branch has seen.

Customers have been calling out the fast food chain for unfairly increasing its menu prices for years, and rightfully so. Since 2019, McDonald's prices have gone up around 40%, a statistic admitted by Joe Erlinger, the president of McDonald's USA. Though they've tried to use the COVID-19 pandemic and its after effects plus rising inflation numbers as the reasoning behind their price increases, customers are fed up, and are calling the chain out on social media.
