McDonald's already has one loyalty program in place for all the coffee lovers out there. Right now, when customers order McCafé beverages on their app, they can get their sixth order for free.
Although we don't know too many details about the new loyalty program yet, we're sure customers are excited to score deals on more than just coffee.
Specifically, Morgan Stanley predicts that the new loyalty program be designed to increase visits to the drive-thru, especially since so many of their sales have come from the drive-thru window during Covid.
According to Eat This, Not That!, "The loyalty program could prompt more people to place digital orders and cut down on the time they spend in the drive-thru lanes."
As for what deals will be available, there's nothing definitive yet.
However, the article continues, "Experts predict the awards could include buy-one-get-one-free deals for Egg McMuffins, Quarter Pounders, and Big Macs, as well as $1 off coupons."
With this new food loyalty program in the works, it's definitely a good idea to download the McDonald's app before your next trip through the drive-thru.
For now, at the very least, you can save on coffee!
