McDonald’s Canada recently released a new, limited-time McFlurry flavor that has sparked strong reactions from its customers. The Caramel Popcorn McFlurry combines vanilla soft serve ice cream with caramel sauce and real popcorn pieces, creating a salty, crunchy, and sweet flavor combination.
Despite the unique taste, the new McFlurry has been met with mixed reviews on Twitter and Instagram, with many customers expressing their disapproval of the new flavor.
What Everyone Is Saying About the Caramel Popcorn McFlurry
McDonald's dropped their new menu item in Canada last month, and it either comes in a regular or snack size (either a whopping 550 or 410 calories).
The new treat, according to the fast food chain's website, is composed of "smooth vanilla soft serve rippled with caramel sauce and studded with crisp caramel popcorn to bring together a unique, decadent and creamy dessert."
On Instagram, popular fast food-themed account @snackolator uploaded an image of the new menu item, and fellow customers in the comment section shared their thoughts on it.
Comments were mixed, as one fan wrote: "Popcorn. In ice cream? Nope," and another added: "I'm literally so jealous bro cuz no I them to make one for the USA too."

Someone else agreed with the first commenter, writing: "Gross. Popcorn doesn't go with ice cream." One other disagreed: "I'd be curious to see how the popcorn holds up in this - it could be great especially if the coating of the caramel corn mixes into the ice cream a bit."
On Twitter, another McDonald's customer chimed in to the debate, tweeting: "Ummm...McDonald's...Caramel Popcorn Mcflurry should not be a thing."
One other apparently couldn't disagree more, writing: "McDonald's came out w a caramel popcorn McFlurry??? omw there rn."
