The company just announced via release on November 30th that “The sauciest moment of the year is here,” with the re-release of the fast food chain’s iconic barbecue sauce sandwich.
Customers who'd been waiting nearly a decade for the sandwich to come back took to Twitter to express their excitment.
"MC RIBS [sic] ARE BACK BABY," Tweeted one fan. "My third one of the day!" one posted alongside a photo of a McRib box. Wow--that's a lot of barbecue sauce.
Within hours, "McRib" was a trending topic on the platform. A meme that featured a like button that turns into a hamburger began circulating.

But that's not all--the McRib release coincides with a No-Shave November promotion.
“With the nationwide return of the McRib, we’re helping fans enjoy every delectable moment by encouraging them to shave for a chance to win a free McRib," vice president of U.S. Communications David Tovar said in the release. "And we’re excited this year to partner with No-Shave November, a charity that knows a thing or two about facial hair.”
