McDonald’s fans on Reddit often express their excitement or disdain when it comes to the chain’s new and upcoming menu items. Many have mixed feelings about a sandwich that is currently being tested in Lousiana and Texas-based restaurants: the new Cheesy Jalapeño Sausage Egg McMuffin.
As seen in a fast food-themed thread last week, fans reacted to a photograph of Mickey D’s next summer menu addition, with some sharing that they thought it looked “tasty” and others disagreeing after reading its ingredient list.

What Is The New ‘Cheesy Jalapeño Sausage Egg McMuffin’ from McDonald’s?
As reported by Chew Boom, this new item is available until August 15th at select McDonald’s locations. It features a “savory hot sausage, fresh jalapeños, a slice of melty American cheese, and a cracked egg all on a toasted English muffin.”
On Reddit, one McDonald’s customer joked, responding to a promotional photo of the spicy-looking sandwich: “That looks like a terrible gut bomb. I’ll take two, please.” Another replied, regarding the Cheesy Jalapeño Sausage Egg McMuffin: “Haven’t tried it yet but saw it was available at the Acworth, GA location near me. Tomorrow will be my taste test.”
One commenter, however, did try it, and wrote: "Just had it this morning in SoCal and it was so good. It wasn't spicy at all, which was disappointing. The jalapenos and cheese sauce had good flavor though."
While the rollout of the latest McMuffin seems to be very limited, Youtuber Rhody Foody did share a positive review and commended the combining tastes of the cheese sauce and sausage, the "spiciness of the jalapeños," and the "pillowy" English muffin.
