The video posted by user @gia2bad is short, but it’s enough to make our blood sugar spike just from watching it. In the clip, over which Gia wrote “If y’all were wondering why the sweet tea is so sweet at McDonald’s,” we see her pouring an entire 4-pound bag of white sugar into a bucket of tea.

“Yes we use a whole bag sometimes 2,” she captioned the TikTok. Holy moly!

Although all that sugar may be tasty, it’s important to remember that it can result in a number of health issues, so limiting your intake of McDonald’s sweet tea may be a good idea.

The video has amassed over 782k views and nearly 800 comments. While some people are pushing back against its claims, others are reinforcing it.

“I work here and we don’t do that,” one person commented.

“It’s definitely made that way I remember working at McDonald’s as a minor this is how it was made except the entire bag goes in,” another wrote.
