Spotify just announced that Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast will be returning on Tuesday, October 4th, after it was briefly suspended following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8th, out of respect for the late monarch.
As we previously reported, the royal family took a break from their official duties during the official period of mourning after the Queen passed away peacefully at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle, which also included tasks such as updating the official website and social media pages with the family’s new roles and titles.
Meghan's $25M Archetypes podcast, which officially launched on August 23rd, is proving to be a big hit already, as it removed The Joe Rogan Experience podcast from Spotify's no. 1 spot on the first week of its release!
The October 4th episode will feature 53-year-old comedian and Fire Island star Margaret Cho and 49-year-old journalist Lisa Ling, who will discuss Asian American tropes in the entertainment industry with the Duchess of Sussex.

Three episodes have been released on the streaming platform so far, with inspiring guests such as tennis legend Serena Williams, 41, singer Mariah Carey, 53 – who infamously called Meghan a "diva" during the podcast, which left Meghan somewhat blindsided at first – and comedian and actress Mindy Kaling, 43, already appearing, with upcoming guests on future episodes including comedians Robin Thede, 43, and Ziwe Fumudoh, 30.
Some of the conversations the 41-year-old former Suits actress has discussed with her guests include the double standards women face when they are labelled 'ambitious,' racial identity, and the stigma surrounding single women. We're excited to hear what will be discussed in the latest episode!
