Meghan Markle knew that the world’s eyes would be on her – perhaps even more than they were during the royal wedding in 2018 – when she and Prince Harry touched down in NYC last week amid the release of their highly-anticipated Netflix Harry & Meghan docuseries; and she didn’t miss a beat when it came to her chic outfit!

Meghan Markle Wears Chic Black Ensemble While Traveling To New York City

A-listers and royals don’t go by the same loungewear sartorial rules when they are traveling, so we weren’t too surprised to see the Duchess of Sussex, 41, pull out all the stops with her chic ensemble, which consisted of an elegant black long-sleeved dress and wide frame Valentino sunglasses. She wore her hair in a sleek ballerina bun, which has become one of her signature hairstyles over the years, while her husband also looked polished in a crisp white shirt.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Attend Ripple Of Hope Gala

Meghan and husband Prince Harry, 38, were in New York to attend the Ripple of Hope gala on Tuesday, December 6th – just two days before the first part of their Harry & Meghan docuseries premiered – which also saw them receive the somewhat controversial 2022 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Award for the humanitarian work they do through their Archewell Foundation, including raising awareness for important issues such as racial justice, mental health, and sexism. They were honored alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and late NBA star Bill Russell for their work “to protect and advance equality, justice, and human rights.”

The former Suits actress looked stunning at the event in a custom white Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton off-the-shoulder long-sleeved dress, which she accessorized with black pointed-toe heels, CH Carolina Herrera earrings and a statement aquamarine ring that originally belonged to the late Princess Diana, which Meghan actually wore as her ‘something blue’ when she married Prince Harry. Aww!
