Meghan Markle stepped out in the color of the moment when she and Prince Harry attended the Salute to Freedom Gala at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City on Wednesday, November 10th – and she looked absolutely breath-taking! The 40-year-old Duchess of Sussex wore a bold red Carolina Herrera dress, which came complete with a much more plunging halter neckline – and a lot more side boob – than we’re used to seeing on someone from the royal family; but we loved it!

We don’t think Meghan would have been able to get away with such a sexy and dramatic dress before she and Harry stepped back from official royal duties, so we love the sartorial risks that she is taking these days! The dress – which features a structured bodice and a statement-making full layered skirt, as well as a seductive slit at the front – was designed by Carolina Herrera Creative Director Wes Gordon, and is from the forthcoming Pre-Fall 2022 Collection.

Meghan teamed her show-stopping dress, which also came with a regal long train, with matching red Giuseppe Zanotti slingbacks, Maison Birks’ Snowstorm earrings, a Cartier Love bracelet, and her late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s diamond tennis Cartier bracelet. She let the dress and the accessories do all the talking, as she chose not to have her sleek dark locks tumbling over her shoulders, and instead, chose to wear her hair in a sleek updo. We would have made the exact same choice – a dress like that deserves all of the attention!

Prince Harry complemented his wife perfectly with his ensemble of choice too, as he looked very dapper in a chic black suit, which he wore in place of his military uniform that he is now banned from wearing. As per royal protocol, the Duke of Sussex is no longer allowed to wear his military uniform since he stepped down as a senior royal last year, despite having served in the British Army for ten years. However, he is still allowed to wear his medals, which is why he proudly pinned them to the suit he was wearing on the night.
