Resurfaced Clip Of Meghan Markle Reacting To Beyoncé's Text Goes Viral Again
In the now-viral clip, the As Ever founder is seen sitting at a desk discussing personal challenges when she says, "Beyoncé just texted," prompting Prince Harry to react in shock as he looks directly at the camera and says, "Shut up."
Meghan then reads part of the message aloud, saying, "Just checking in," before adding: "I still can't believe she knows who I am." The comment is notable given that Meghan and Beyoncé previously met in July 2019 at the London premiere of Disney's The Lion King while Meghan and Prince Harry were still working royals.

Prince Harry encourages his wife to reply, but Meghan responds: "No, it's okay." She continues by summarizing Beyoncé's alleged message, saying: "She said she wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability, and she thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed." The Spare author ends: "That's well said."
The exchange quickly went viral when the series first aired in 2022, and is once again drawing criticism online now it has resurfaced...

Fan Comments
"Funny how Beyoncé seemed to vanish from the Harry and Meghan orbit right after that painfully cringey 'Beyoncé just texted me' Netflix scene," wrote one X user.
"'Painfully cringey' is the most apt description of that Netflix scene I've ever heard. No one blabs to someone on a reality show on what a friend said online," added a second, while a third thought it was "so incredibly rude and embarrassing that she'd read a highly personal text out loud to millions of people."
"Meghan reading out that Beyoncé text like a teenager announcing prom news will never not be embarrassing, especially with the way she started interpreting it like she'd rehearsed the speech beforehand while Harry reacting like he's witnessing a historic world event," quipped a fourth, before noting how Beyoncé and many other A-listers have now kept their distance.
"And ever since then? Silence. No friendship moments. No public support. No Beyoncé appearances. Nothing. Honestly feels like Beyoncé wanted no part in becoming another Meghan curated moment after that," the same user added.
"Good on Beyoncé for getting rid of them. Meghan should write a book titled, 'How to Lose Friends and Influence Enemies,'" said another, while someone else concurred: "They aired 'conversations' with the royal family, Courteney Cox, Beyoncé, etc. No wonder Hollywood has closed (almost) all doors by now."
