Alleged Former Employees Slam Meghan Markle
Earlier this week, the Daily Beast published a report with some pretty damning claims against Meghan Markle. A source that reportedly used to work for Meghan and Prince Harry back before they gave up their royal duties said that they witnessed some pretty awful moments, "There definitely were bad, very bad, even psycho moments," they said. "I witnessed people being chewed up in person and over the phone and made to feel like s***."
"It was an incredibly fraught time," the source added. "I'm inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. She has said herself she was suicidal at times."
Another source who reportedly worked with Meghan leading up to her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry agreed: "She is lovely when it is all going her way but a demon when the worm turns."
Some Defend The Duchess
However, others tell a different store. Ben Browning, who worked on Harry and Meghan's 2022 Netflix documentary, said that he had a "positive and supportive" experience working with the pair. "We all continue to be friends," he said. "The narratives we've seen suggesting the contrary are untrue."
Catherine St-Laurent, who was the chief of staff for the pair at one point, agreed. "The time I spent working with Prince Harry and Meghan was incredibly meaningful to me," she said. Ashley Hansen, the global press secretary for the pair also shared positive memories of the Sussexes, recalling that they sent her flowers and care packages when she took off work for a surgical procedure. "You don't realize how much that kind of kindness and thought means until you need it," she said.
