Meghan Markle may have given us some stunning looks over the past few months – her Colombia tour wardrobe was particularly striking! – but we still find ourselves looking back at some of her previous looks too.
One of the former Suits actress’s looks from the past which still lives rent free in our minds is the Gabriela Hearst black and white ‘Vicky’ jumpsuit she wore in New York back in July 2022. And then we started wondering whether we were particularly obsessed with it because it reminded us of something else…
The mom-of-two’s monochrome outfit, which she teamed with black Aquazzura sandals, a deep red woven Bottega Veneta clutch, and Cartier jewelry, appears to resemble a black and white dress previously worn by the Princess of Wales; and now we can’t unsee it!
Meghan Markle And Kate Middleton Wore Almost Identical Monochrome Looks
Kate Middleton wore a stunning black and white Roland Mouret dress to the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in May 2022, teamed with a bespoke Alexander McQueen clutch bag; and the similarities between her dress and her sister-in-law's jumpsuit are difficult to ignore.
Both pieces were predominantly black and featured white trim at the top. While Meghan's jumpsuit – which was also worn by Scarlett Johansson at the People's Choice Awards in 2021 – was strapless, Kate's dress featured an off-the-shoulder neckline.
The back of Meghan's dress was also a little bit different, as it had a subtle cutout at the back. We think both pieces are gorgeous in their own way, with both royals pulling them off very well. And it seems like the internet feels the same way!
Fan Comments
"I'll give credit where it's due as I like the jumpsuit MM is wearing. Very stylish from the angle of the shots," wrote one fan on X. "Absolutely love this look. She is gorgeous," gushed a second on Instagram. "Stunning!" exclaimed a third.
The Princess of Wales' look understandably also got a lot of love online. "Very elegant," praised one fan on Instagram, followed by a red heart emoji. "She is perfection," raved another, followed by a hand clapping emoji, as a third added: "I cannot even. She is just stunning!"
