Meghan Markle Accuses The Royal Family Of Lying
One point that Meghan Markle made that was particularly scathing was that the royal family "silenced" her and refused to "protect" her. "That was hard to reconcile," she explained to Oprah, "because it was only once we were married and everything started to really worsen that I came to understand that not only was I not being protected, but that they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family."
"They weren't willing to tell the truth to protect me and my husband," she added forcefully, with Prince Harry sitting at her side and nodding in agreement. This is only one of the shocking allegations the pair made, there was also the accusation that a certain family member raised "concerns and conversations" about how dark their son's skin color might be.

Matters were only made worse when Omid Scobie released his book Endgame, and (accidentally, according to Scobie) named King Charles and Kate Middleton as the individuals with questions about their son's skin tone.
