Now that she’s no longer a royal or an actress, Meghan Markle has been focusing on rebranding her image in America. She recently launched With Love, Meghan, a Netflix series all about cooking, hosting, and gardening. If you recall, she’s also been trying to launch a lifestyle brand to go with it, but has run into a number of problems along the way, from failing to find a CEO to getting her patent and trademark applications denied.
Yet another roadblock has presented itself more recently, as the former Duchess tried to switch her brand’s name to “As Ever” and designing a new logo, but is finding yet again that the image is already being used by a small business in Spain. Keep reading for more information.

Meghan Markle Rebrands Her Lifestyle Brand
Originally hoping to use the name "American Riviera Orchard" but running into roadblocks when trying to patent the name, Meghan Markle has switched the brand name to "As Ever" and designed a logo with a palm tree surrounded on either side by a bird. However, this logo bears extreme similarity to the traditional coat of arms used by the Mallorca village of Porreres. While Meghan's logo is in black and white and the coat of arms is in full color, you really can't deny the similarities.
The mayor of the small village, Francisca Mora, told a local newspaper that the similarities between the images is "surreal" and her town hall is now considering taking legal action against the former royal.

'As Ever' Might Not Work Either
Aside from the logo being an issue, a small clothing label with the name "As Ever" is now speaking out against Meghan as well. The clothing label, a family-run, New York City-based company run by Mark Kolski.
Though Kolski doesn't have any intentions to sue Markle, he is concerned. "I just want to know that I can keep my name, and make clothes," he said in a phone interview. "Another aspect is, will the confusion of an association have an impact on me? That's the unknown and I really have no control over that."
