Although Markle's updated hairstyle definitely drew attention, her sleek makeup look was just as notable.
Her natural makeup look accentuated her natural beauty, and her brown smoky eye was perfect for the interview--even if her image was a little blurry over the video conference.
She wore a white blazer over a dark brown top, complimenting her natural makeup look perfectly.
During the virtual conversation, the Duchess of Sussex listened to three women--Karla, Charlene and Agnieszka--who were previous Smart Works clients about their experiences with the charity.
Markle has been working with the charity for a year now as she believes in their mission to work with unemployed women in underserved communities, offering them professional interview clothing and training.
Markle seemed to enjoy their conversation.
At one point, the Duchess commented, "People can say that so much of Smart Works is about the clothes themselves but it's really not ... all of that stuff is the exterior but it's what it does for you on the inside that ends up being the best accessory. It’s the confidence, it's what is built within, that is the piece that you walk out of that room with and walk into the interview with."
In April, Markle spoke about the importance of Smart Works' virtual service during coronavirus.
She praised the charity, "It’s been such an honor to meet and learn from so many talented women in the Smart Works network over the years, and recently to see the amazing work they’re doing to adapt their programs to the reality of this pandemic. Their ability to continue to empower women and help them harness the confidence they need to succeed during this time is inspiring."
