Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with CBS Sunday Morning has already caused controversy for a number of different reasons. And now the Duchess of Sussex has come under fire for her alleged behavior backstage!

According to reports, royal biographer Angela Levin said the 43-year-old former Suits actress “had a meltdown” following the interview, and was “screaming” when the cameras stopped rolling. This was reportedly because she was “very annoyed” with one of the questions that interviewer Jane Pauley asked.

Meghan Markle Was Reportedly Not Prepared For Questions About Her Previously Disclosed Suicidal Thoughts

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke openly about mental health and online bullying in their CBS interview, which aired on Meghan's 43rd birthday. But one question the mom-of-two reportedly wasn't prepared for was about her previously disclosed suicidal thoughts.

If you'll recall, Meghan told Oprah in the infamous sit down interview in March 2021 that she had suicidal thoughts after she joined the royal family. But she was reportedly not prepared to discuss them in the CBS interview, and had a "meltdown" about it backstage.

Levin detailed the incident on GB News, telling Dan Wootton: "After the interview was over, she was apparently screaming to the producers, very, very annoyed at what they had asked her." She added: "You mustn't do that with Meghan because she's in control. But you could see she couldn't contain her anger, her fury."

Levin also went on to say that the American Riviera Orchard founder was visibly annoyed by her husband during and after the interview. "Just the same as in and out of the interview, she couldn't stand Harry speaking," Levin continued, adding: "She would look at him with such harsh eyes and such a terrible expression on her face because she didn't want him to talk, I imagine."

And if we are to believe Levin, Prince Harry isn't handling this very well. "He is really lost at the moment. I think that he's in a very, very bad way," she speculated.

Wootton also commented on the interview, adding: "It certainly wasn't a good 43rd birthday for the Duchess of Sussex, was it? For their first sit-down together since Oprah Winfrey, back on CBS with another experienced American TV professional... despite all that, it was a real car crash."
