Meghan Markle may be facing potential termination by her talent agency due to the ongoing controversy surrounding Omid Scobie‘s new bombshell book, Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival. This news comes after a royal insider reportedly sat down with GB News.
Back in April, Markle, 42, signed with William Morris Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel and his team and has recently hinted at various “exciting” upcoming projects she is working on. However, Angela Levin, a well-known royal expert, is claiming that WME is apprehensive about the possible negative consequences Scobie’s book may have on the Sussexes’ public image and, as a result, may consider dropping Markle. Therefore, Markle’s future in Hollywood could be short-lived.
Will Meghan Markle's Talent Agency 'Drop' Her In The New Future? A Royal Expert Thinks So
Levin dished to GB News that members of Markle's talent agency team said they were "horrified" following Endgame's bombshells that continue to make headlines. "That can’t just be about the two names that were mentioned, it must be about their client, Meghan," Levin said.
She added: "It seems to me that they will think very carefully what they do next. I have never heard such a well-known agency be clear about how they feel."
Levin asserted that reviving the controversy surrounding the royal family's racial issues could potentially harm the Duchess of Sussex's ambitions in the entertainment industry.
"Meghan needs to be very careful. A lot of people have dropped her. The agency has told her to ‘stop moaning,’ because people are ‘getting fed up’ with it," Levin explained.
"If they now feel they have an even harder job to do in order to get her famous, it’s going to be difficult," she continued. "It is going to be very difficult to get the glamor she wants." The source added that she believed Markle is "someone who needs to be adored all the time by the public."
Since its release on November 29th, Scobie's new book has caused quite a commotion, especially with the Dutch translation of the revealing biography, which disclosed the names of two members of the royal family accused of making a "racist" comment regarding Prince Archie, the 4-year-old son of Markle and Prince Harry.
The book exposed King Charles and Kate Middleton as the ones who purportedly raised concerns about Archie's skin color. This led to the biography being swiftly withdrawn from stores in the Netherlands. Despite the numerous allegations made in the book, including this one, the royals have remained silent.
Scobie attributed the ensuing chaos to a mistake made by the publisher during translation. This assertion, however, has been challenged by the translator in charge of rendering the book into Dutch.
Despite advice from multiple experts to speak out in defense of Charles and Kate, the Sussexes have chosen to maintain their silence, which some on X (formerly Twitter) have deemed as "deafening."
During their very memorable interview with Oprah Winfrey in the spring of 2021, Harry and Markle revealed that the Windsor family had made comments regarding their son Archie's skin color prior to his birth.
The Duke of Sussex told Winfrey at the time: "That conversation I’m never going to share. But at the time, it was awkward. I was a bit shocked. I’m not comfortable sharing it."
