Meghan Markle recently received criticism for allegedly exhibiting “rude” behavior during her three-day visit to Nigeria with Prince Harry last week. Despite appearing to have an enjoyable time in the African nation, the Duchess of Sussex, 42, has come under fire for her attire and one specific interaction with locals.

During a discussion for GB News, royal biographer Angela Levin claimed that Markle’s allegedly discourteous behavior had been exposed during her and her husband Harry’s trip.

Meghan Markle Allegedly Displayed 'Rude' Behavior During 'Phony And Awful' Nigerian Tour, According To A Royal Biographer

The couple had received an invitation from the country's Chief of Defence Staff and embarked on a whirlwind tour in which they visited schoolchildren, advocated for mental health and Markle attended a Nigerian Women in Leadership event.

Levin criticized the unofficial royal visit, describing it as "phony and awful." During a conversation with television presenter Nana Akua for the aforementioned outlet, Levin expressed her disbelief at the couple's behavior, particularly Markle's dress code when she visited Lightway Academy College, which Levin deemed inappropriate.

"If you go to a school, a very quiet school that is a religious one, you don't go with a dress that's absolutely no backing to it at all," Levin said regarding Markle's Heidi Merrick maxi dress with a backless design.

Regarding one specific interaction that the Suits alum apparently had that day, Levin added: "She was very rude, because one of the teachers was talking to her and there were two girls there joining in politely."

Levin continued: "She obviously was bored. She looked up in the air, looked around, she then sort of pulled Harry, as she usually does, because she was bored with it." The author went on: "She wanted someone who could then take nice pictures of her and Harry, and you think, my goodness, where are your manners?"

Akua then said that Markle might argue that she was "just being her normal self" rather than being "rude." Levin then mentioned Prince Harry's recent trip to the UK for the Invictus Games and claimed that many involved with it deemed the situation to be the "Meghan Markle show," despite her absence during her husband's visit.

"Lots of the people from the Invictus Games have said to me it's now become just a Meghan Markle show. It's about presenting her. And I think it's a big shame," Levin said. Levin then revealed that Buckingham Palace reportedly didn't receive any request from Harry, 39, to see his father King Charles during his short visit to London.

"Because he had a lot to do after the garden party, he had to see the Prime Minister, so I think he would probably be exhausted. And he's got to be very careful," Levin explained regarding Charles, 75. She continued: "And I think that if Harry's going to go in and make demands and be angry, then he doesn't want that."

Levin went on: "He doesn't need that sort of aggression. And I think that it's true, if Harry had said when would be a good time for you, that might have been much better than him saying you've got to see me now."
