Meghan Markle made a shimmering appearance in a glittery, gold metallic dress at the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards: Celebrating Generations of Progress & Power event in New York City last week. (We’re still not over it!)
The ever-so-stylish Duchess of Sussex donned a strapless, curve-hugging midi dress by Johanna Ortiz that featured a keyhole cutout, a high slit, and a flirty neckline.

Her illuminating look was certainly one to remember, and she was also one of the evening’s honorees. Markle graced the red carpet along with her husband Prince Harry and mother Doria Ragland. The Archetypes podcast host received an award from Gloria Steinem for her women’s rights work and empowerment advocacy.

Sussexes Involved In ‘Near Catastrophic Car Chase’ With Paparazzi In NYC
On the night of the NYC awards event, May 16th, Markle, Harry and Ragland left in an SUV at around 10 p.m. and were immediately followed by around 12 paparazzi, according to Page Six.
A source reportedly detailed the incident to the publication (that many fans found eerily similar to events that lead to the death of Princess Diana, Harry’s mother), saying, “It started off with 12 paparazzi then ended up with four chasing [Meghan, Harry and Doria].” “Their security tried their best to lose [photographers].”

In a statement last week, Harry’s spokesperson said, “Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi. This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers.”

They continued, “While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety.” In its conclusion, the statement ended by asking news outlets to “not circulate the images” taken by the photographers in question, as Stylecaster notes: “Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all involved.”
Thankfully, the Sussexes, Ragland and their teams are all okay!
