Following its recent declaration of delinquency by California’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s Archewell Foundation has resumed operations. Despite being taken by surprise by the news, the couple and their foundation’s leaders acted quickly to address the situation, as reported by Page Six.

It read: "An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds [...] The organization may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry."

Page Six reported that it was first told that the parents of Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 1, had requested for an extension.

Later, it was disclosed that the attorney general's office did not receive the first payment, prompting a replacement to be issued.

After settling down in Montecito in 2020, the couple established their Archewell foundation following their departure from royal duties and relocation overseas.

The Archewell group is comprised of a nonprofit charitable foundation and for-profit business divisions that concentrate on media production - Archewell Audio and Archewell Productions.
