Royal experts have shut down the rumors that Meghan Markle reached out to Kate Middleton amid her recovery from abdominal surgery.
Back in January, a royal insider reportedly told The Mirror that both Prince Harry and Meghan reached out to King Charles and the Princess of Wales separately to offer their support throughout their health battles. “The King and the Princess of Wales have received support from Prince Harry and Meghan regarding their health,” said the source, adding: “The Duke and Duchess contacted both parties in different ways to pass on their concern and best wishes.”
More recently, Us Weekly reported that the former Suits actress “contacted” her sister-in-law after Prince Harry’s infamous brief visit to King Charles at Clarence House following his cancer diagnosis, quoting a source who said “moves are being made to reconcile” behind the scenes. Another source reportedly told US Weekly: “Meghan is supportive of Harry in all of this, and she wishes the royals – Kate included – the very best.”
However, the internet isn't buying it – and neither are royal experts! "This allegation is not true," Kinsey Schofield, royal expert and host of the To Di For Daily podcast, told Fox News Digital.
"Meghan Markle has not been in contact with the Princess of Wales," Schofield continued, adding: "As the princess is currently in recovery, it would be a highly inappropriate time for Meghan to do any outreach."
The mom-of-three sparked some concern from fans when Prince William suddenly dropped out of attending his godfather King Constantine of Greece's memorial service in Windsor Castle on February 27th. However, it was reported soon after that she was "recovering well" from the surgery, which could be the palace's way of subtly hinting that Prince William's last-minute absence didn't have anything to do with his wife's health battle.
Although the palace is being tight-lipped about the real reason for Kate's abdominal surgery, and isn't going into specific details about her recovery, it seems like she is slowly getting better by the day!
"Catherine is currently dipping her toes back into her routine, navigating light communication, i.e., emails, approving scheduling, and household duties," Schofield continued, adding: "Having to navigate the hurricane that is Meghan Markle is not on her agenda."
Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle Will 'Never Be Friends'
Schofield really does appear to be confident that Kate and Meghan's relationship is over for good! "Meghan Markle and the Princess of Wales will never be friends," Schofield predicted.
"Prince Harry solidified that with the publication of his memoir, Spare," she added, in reference to the allegations against the Princess of Wales in his bombshell memoir, which was released in January 2023. "Although Meghan Markle originally crossed the line with the complaints disguised as being the bigger person via the Oprah Winfrey interview," Schofield continued.
"Despite the betrayal, Harry will always have a place in Catherine's heart because she knew a very different Harry," she concluded. "There is no love lost with Meghan Markle."
