Critics of the Suits actress pointed out that it looks like Meghan Markle has altered her engagement ring–again. The original ring that Harry proposed with has a cushion-cut diamond that's between 2.5 and 3 carats with two smaller diamonds, one on each side, that are reportedly from his mother's jewelry collection.
In 2019, two years later, the band appeared a lot thinner than it originally was. Then, a few years alter, the ring was reportedly reset by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz with a new diamond band. In 2023, Meghan was spotted without her ring during multiple public appearances, with representatives noting that the ring was being prepared, marking the third time it was altered.
Now, in 2024, it seems that the ring has been altered again, with viewers of Meghan's Netflix show trailer pointed out that the cushion-cut diamond is no longer: it's now an emerald cut. That's a lot of changes for a band that's supposed to represent forever!

Fans Slam Meghan Markle For Multiple Engagement Ring Edits
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, critics put their thoughts and feelings on Meghan's ring out in the open. "Not surprised Meghan Markle upgraded her ring for perhaps the fourth time in just six years of marriage," one person wrote in a tweet. "I always thought she hated the ring, and upgrading it again so often proves that she seems to have disdain for it."
"Part jealousy, part wanting her ring to stand out to the public," another person added. "It just shows that she has no love for Harry."
"She has no emotional attachment to it," agreed a third. "Much like her husband."
"In their engagement interview when they were talking about the ring," one person recalled, "he was so proud of it but then her flat 'it's incredible, he designed it,' in her voice you could hear that she wasn't that in love with it."
