In case you didn’t know, Meghan Markle was once a Deal Or No Deal model. As a matter of fact, sources say that she even met former president Donald Trump while on set of the American game show. However, it’s been reported that their exchange was not a very pleasant one.
According to an article published by Express UK, British writer, former BBC journalist, and television producer Tom Bower claimed in his newly published book that “the Duchess of Sussex met Mr. Trump when she was recording the second season of the US game show Deal or No Deal.” In his book entitled Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, Bower allegedly wrote that the Suits alum reportedly “rejected” Trump’s invitation to “visit his golf courses.”

Express UK notes that Mr. Bower claimed, “As ever in Hollywood, sexy young women attracted rich and powerful men. Among the visitors welcomed to the studio was Donald Trump. On the set between takes, the New York businessman handed out his card and invitations to visit his golf courses. Some girls accepted and would later say that Meghan not only rejected Trump but all the other invitations.”
Additionally, the outlet reports, “Citing Meghan and Harry’s [unauthorized] biography by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, Finding Freedom, Mr. Bower reported one of the other actresses working on the set saying that, when she was a cast member of the game show, the now Duchess preferred to focus on prospective jobs rather than going out after filming.”
Markle was Briefcase Model #24 for NBC's Deal or No Deal from 2006 to 2007. In an exclusive interview with Esquire, she said, "I would put that in the category of things I was doing while I was auditioning to try to make ends meet. I went from working in the U.S. Embassy in Argentina to ending up on Deal. It's run the gamut. Definitely working on Deal or No Deal was a learning experience, and it helped me to understand what I would rather be doing."
