Meghan Markle Graces The Paley Honors Fall Gala In A Sleek, High-Slit, Strapless Black Gown
Markle's appearance at the event was notably without her husband, Prince Harry, continuing a series of recent public outings she has attended solo. The mom of two (who shares daughter Lilibet, 3, and son Prince Archie, with the Duke of Sussex, 40) completed her get-up with a shimmering Logan Hollowell necklace and shiny Cartier Love bracelet.
As for her glam, the Duchess of Sussex wore her signature brunette tresses in an effortless updo. For her makeup look, the Archetypes podcast host opted for black liner, smokey eyeshadow, sky-high lashes, ample rosy blush on her high cheekbones and a glossy pink lip.
On the red carpet, Markle was beaming while posing for solo shots before Perry, 55, joined her and they embraced. The Madea actor put on a black tuxedo jacket adorned with patterns, matched it with black trousers, polished black shoes, and completed the look with his iconic glasses.
Markle graced the red carpet in California mere hours after her husband, Harry, addressed and dismissed divorce speculation during his speech at the New York Times' 2024 DealBook conference in New York City.
Prince Harry Addresses Ongoing Divorce Rumors At The DealBook Conference In New York City
“Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times,” he told the crowd as he stood on stage. “We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?’” The Spare author added that he felt “sorry” for “trolls” online who try to insult and mock him and his wife.
“It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it,” he went on. “Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.”
Harry explained that he and Markle have made social media safety for children a top priority through their Archewell Foundation, as they have personally encountered harmful online gossip. “I’ve had a lived experience since I was a kid. I’ve seen stories written about myself that aren’t exactly based on reality,” he shared.
“I’ve seen stories about members of my family, friends, strangers, all sorts of people.” He concluded his speech: “When you grow up within that environment, you do find yourself questioning the validity of the information but also what other people are thinking of that as well and how dangerous it can be over the course of time.”
