Meghan Markle has come under fire after a video of her seemingly forcing a woman to move away from Prince Harry for a photo has gone viral.
The awkward photo incident occurred at the Royal Salute Polo Challenge held at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida earlier this month, which Prince Harry was taking part in to support Sentebale, the charity he co-founded to help South African youths.

Meghan Markle’s Awkward Photo Moment
In the video, which has since been reposted on the @sussexroyal_hm Instagram page, the Duchess of Sussex can be seen presenting her husband with the trophy and then giving him a royal-protocol-breaking kiss. The pair then posed together for pictures, before a woman, who has since been identified as Sentebale chairwoman Dr. Sophie Chandauka, approached the couple for some pictures.
Chandauka first stands next to the Duke of Sussex, presumably hoping for a picture with the royal, while also touching the edge of the trophy. However, the former Suits actress, who is wearing a gorgeous off-white midi dress by Heidi Merrick, doesn’t seem to like the positioning; she motions for Chandauka to move away from her husband, while making sure that she is the one who is standing next to him for the pictures.
Many people on social media have slammed the American Riviera Orchard founder as being “rude,” “cringe,” “insecure,” and “bossy” for not allowing Chandauka the chance to stand next to the Duke of Sussex, the co-founder of the charity, while others have interestingly taken her side.
Social Media Comments
"The insecurity and rudeness of Meghan is on full display," slammed one Instagram user in the comments section. "Meghan could have moved aside and let the lady stand next to him, but then Meghan only thinks about herself and what she wants and is scared he is going to escape," criticized another, while a third said: "Wow, such a self-obsessed woman."
"She seems insecure regarding her husband. That's why she keeps clinging on him and any woman who stands beside him is told to stand beside her," observed another. "Why should she present the trophy and not another player's wife or gf?" asked another Insta user, adding: "She really is a nasty piece of work." "Ohh soooo cringe!" exclaimed another. "Of course all about the self-proclaimed duchess… as if she's the one that's won the trophy," they added.
A few other social media users didn't think Meghan did anything wrong. "Looks like the woman didn't know where to stand and Meg encouraged her to stand in the middle. I'm not seeing what y'all are seeing," noted one user, while others defended the Duchess of Sussex even more.
"It's her husband so [expletive] off," wrote one fan, in Meghan's defense. "Meghan is beautiful and Harry looks happy. Now everyone just go and mind their own business," concurred another.
