We’ve been keeping a very watchful (and enviable) eye on Meghan Markle’s New York wardrobe – and we think her latest outfit just might be one of our favorites yet!
On Saturday September 25, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continued their tour of New York by making a special appearance at the Global Citizen Live concert in Central Park. The annual music festival is in aid of combatting climate change, and Harry and Meghan took to the stage to talk about the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine and making it available to everyone in the world.

Prince Harry wore a sharp black suit for the occasion, while Meghan wowed the crowd in a chic white embellished mini dress by Valentino. Markle styled her hair in a loose, low ponytail, with the front sections effortlessly dropping down and framing her face, and accessorized with simple black pumps. It was the perfect dress for the unexpectedly summery day; and when the weather got a little chillier, she wrapped up in a long black coat. We love how she and Harry co-ordinated their monochrome looks – even down to their respective white and black face masks, we are obsessed with the attention to detail!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have teamed up with Global Citizen to encourage vaccine distribution to the countries most in need, by urging rich countries to share one billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines with the nations that are struggling the most with the pandemic. Prince Harry asked the crowd a very important question when he first took to the stage, asking, “are we prepared to do what is necessary to end this pandemic?”

He continued: “We have what we need to vaccinate the world…Many countries are ready to produce vaccines at home, yet they aren’t allowed to, because ultra-wealthy pharmaceutical companies are not sharing the recipes to make them. These countries have the means, the ability and the workers to start manufacturing.
“All they’re waiting for is the vaccine intellectual property to be waived and for the vaccine technology to be transferred over. And by the way, many of these vaccines were publicly funded. They are your vaccines, you paid for them.”
Meghan added: “It is so good to be back here with all of you. Look, we know that it feels like this pandemic has been going on forever. It is a lot and some people are just over it. But, if everyone’s over it, it’s never going to be over. There is so much that we can do today, now, that can get us closer to end this pandemic and that’s why we’re all here.”
“We’re able to be here tonight because the most brilliant scientists, researchers, frontline workers and selfless public health leaders have risked their lives to protect our global community. They are our humanitarian heroes,” she concluded.

Harry and Meghan’s New York tour is their first public outing since their daughter Lilibet was born three months ago. The Global Citizen Live concert in New York was part of a 24-hour broadcast which involved seven coordinated concerts across the world in London, Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul, Sydney and Lagos.
This year’s festival featured performances from the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, and Shawn Mendes, who all performed in New York, and Stevie Wonder, Adam Lambert, and Demi Lovato, who performed in Los Angeles. Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Doja Cat took to the stage in Paris, while Duran Duran, Kylie Minogue, and Nile Rogers were among the London performers.
