Prince Harry, 38, will be in the U.K. this week, while Meghan Markle, 42, will be at home in Montecito, California with their two children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2. The Duke of Sussex will be flying across the pond to attend the WellChild Awards on September 7th, which just so happens to be one day before the one-year anniversary of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s death, before flying to Germany for the Invictus Games.
Although the father-of-two will reportedly not attend the royal family’s private memorial for the late monarch at Balmoral on September 8th, some reports are suggesting that he could be meeting up with his father, King Charles, 74, for some much-needed peace talks during his brief time in the U.K.
Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Worried About Kate Middleton's Potential Involvement In The Peace Talks
According to Heat Magazine, an insider said that the Duchess of Sussex is worried that Kate Middleton, 41, will "meddle" in the alleged peace talks between the King and his youngest son, as they still seem to have a close relationship.
An insider told the pub that Prince Harry still has a lot of respect for Kate (could their secret late-night phone calls be part of the reason?) despite his relationship with brother Prince William being "at an impasse right now."
"Meghan will not be happy if he goes ahead with this," the source reportedly told Heat about the prospect of Harry and Kate having a conversation. The insider went on to say that Meghan "hates the idea of not being there to defend herself," adding that the former Suits actress "can’t help but feel that Kate is meddling in their business."
We've already heard the rumors that the Princess of Wales is working behind-the-scenes with King Charles to try and restore peace within the family, so it's quite likely that she could have something to say if the alleged peace talks between Prince Harry and the monarch go ahead.
