2024 is not a good year to be Jennifer Lopez. As well as being slammed for her “rude and arrogant” behavior at last month’s Met Gala, and being absolutely destroyed on social media for saying she canceled her tour to spend more time with her family when it was most likely down to low ticket sales, the 54-year-old multi-hyphenate is being criticized once again. This time by none other than Meghan McCain!
The 39-year-old TV personality and conservative writer just opened up about what it was like when the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” hitmaker appeared on The View, which McCain co-hosted from 2017 to 2021. And to say she didn’t come across in the best way would be a huge understatement!
Meghan McCain Recalls Past Jennifer Lopez 'The View' Experience
On the June 7th episode of her Citizen McCain podcast, the political commentator recalled how "unpleasant" the Shotgun Wedding actress was when she appeared on The View. She previously criticized her in an April 2024 TikTok video, saying she was "not her favorite" guest to appear on the show.
"I, too, share similar negative stories that the entire world does," McCain recalled in her June 2024 podcast, in reference to the negativity surrounding the Marry Me actress at the moment. "I feel bad because we're turning a point where there's bullying happening to J-Lo," she continued, before adding: "She just is a deeply unpleasant person."
McCain went on to slam the JLo Beauty mogul's diva-like behavior, which also included having an enormous entourage which she claimed was even bigger than the president's!
"She had the biggest entourage I've ever seen," McCain recalled. "More than Kim Kardashian and the president. I just don't really understand why it was needed."
She went on to say that Lopez was simply "not nice" when she came on the show – unlike Skims mogul Kim Kardashian, who was "delightful" in comparison! "You don't always have to be so nice, but it was surprising given that people like Kim Kardashian couldn't be more delightful," McCain recalled. "When you're coming on a show for a 10-minute segment… just fake it till you make it for 10 [expletive] minutes," she added.
Jennifer Lopez Previously Accused Meghan McCain Of 'Bullying'
Although the Delola founder has yet to respond to McCain's latest comments about her past visit to The View, she did allegedly respond to a previous TikTok video posted by McCain and her co-host Miranda Wilkins two months ago.
The video, which was shared to the social media platform back in April and said J-Lo was currently in her "flop era," wasn't very complimentary of the This Is Me... Now: A Love Story star. According to McCain and Wilkins, Lopez "went after" their podcast, and she and her legal team even forced them to take the video down.
"She had our video taken down for terms of violation for bullying," McCain claimed, before confirming that the video "got put back up" on TikTok, as Wilkins added: "We're beefing with her right now."

In the April 2024 video, McCain recalled what the "I'm Real" singer was like when she appeared on The View, stating that she was not her favorite guest. "I have a bad J-Lo story too," she began at the time. "She came on The View many times as a guest, not my favorite. Not my favorite. Some of the biggest celebrities I've ever met in my entire life, I mean, giant celebrities have maybe one publicist with them. Jennifer Lopez has more people traveling with her than the president. I'm not kidding."
"I'm gonna get in so much trouble for this, but my big memory of J-Lo is there was a person whose entire job it was to hold up a mirror with lights while they were touching her up backstage," McCain said at the time, adding: "I remember being like, 'That poor man. What a weird job.' He probably went to art school or something and had dreams of being a musician and he's like, 'I hold J-Lo's light.'"
