Melania Trump Reportedly Gets $40M Amazon Documentary Deal
Last weekend, Amazon announced that Prime Video would be releasing a "behind the scenes" documentary about the life of Melania Trump. The release date is slotted for the back half of 2025, and began filming this past December, immediately after her husband, Donald Trump, won the presidential election over Vice President Kamala Harris. Also in the statement Amazon included that it was "excited to share this truly unique story."
Melania was born in Slovenia and began working as a model at the age of 16. She traveled to Paris and Milan seeking work, where she met Paolo Zampolli, who sponsored her immigration to the United States in 1996. She met Donald Trump in 1998, they married seven years later in 2005, and the rest is history.
Social Media Slams Melania As 'Grifter'
Many users on social media, particularly X, were rather suspicious of the new deal. "Jeff Bezos paid $40M to do a documentary of Melania Trump and that doesn't smell like a kickback or a bribe to anyone else?" on person questioned.
"She's really not all that interesting," another person agreed. "She was a model who married a rich guy 25 years her senior. I don't really care."
"Grifting yet again," one person wrote. "Does it ever stop with this family? Was the memoir not enough?"
"It's more than the highest paid actors and actresses get for a blockbuster movie," another said. "No one will watch it. Definitely done to appease Trump."
