Melania Trump Steps Out For Surprise Appearance With Donald Trump At Mar-a-Lago For Halloween
Among the numerous legal battles waged against Trump, his wife Melania has notably been missing from several. During Trump's arraignment on 34 felony charges concerning hush-money payments intended to conceal an alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels on April 4th, Melania was not in attendance. Similarly, when Trump gave a speech at Mar-a-Lago condemning the investigations against him, Melania was nowhere to be found.
Melania was spotted with her husband at an Easter brunch at the Palm Beach resort the weekend after that. However, there have been reports that she was unhappy about Trump's alleged affair with Daniels and uncomfortable with his political commitments, which led to her absence from his court dates and campaign stops.
Melania's office issued a statement the same month, denouncing news outlets for speculating on her stance on personal, professional, and political subjects.
Last month, a source also apparently dished to Page Six that Melania "quietly" and successfully renegotiated her prenuptial agreement her husband Donald, who she has been married to since 2005 and with whom she shares 17-year-old son Barron. "Over the last year, Melania and her team have been quietly negotiating a new 'postnup' agreement between herself and Donald Trump," the insider revealed, while also noting that their new agreement covers both money and property.
"This is at least the third time Melania has renegotiated the terms of her marital agreement," the source continued. According to the insider, Melania's recent actions do not necessarily indicate that she is considering leaving her spouse. Rather, it seems that she is focusing on the welfare and prospects of their son.
"Melania is most concerned about maintaining and increasing a substantial trust for their son, Barron," the source claimed, while another reportedly told the publication: "I know that she wanted it to provide her with more money, and also — from what I understand — there’s a specific amount at minimum that Barron is supposed to obtain."
During an interview with Donald in September, Megyn Kelly inquired about Melania's wellbeing, citing her absence from public events. The twice-impeached former president did not provide specifics regarding her absences but commended her for her being "strong" and "even-keeled."
"We actually get along very well," he said. Kelly then told him: "Melania is so mysterious to so many." She asked him what he thought many might misunderstand about her.
"I think part of the beauty is that mystery," he replied. He added: "She’s introspective and she’s confident. She doesn’t need to be interviewed by you to get ripped apart for no reason—she doesn’t need to be out there."
