Whether she likes it or not, Melania Trump has been thrust back into the spotlight as she plans to reprise her role as First Lady of the United States in just a few weeks. The Trump’s celebrated Donald’s successful presidential campaign on New Year’s Eve, arriving to their Mar-a-Lago dressed to the nines.

As the pair stepped onto the red carpet of the Mar-a-Lago entrance, they stood a minimum of one foot apart, and at one point, Donald seemingly accidentally stepped in front of his wife, leaving her to awkwardly step around him to regain her place at his side.

And despite looking their best—Melania in an asymmetrical black gown that showed off all her curves and Donald in a matching black tuxedo—they didn’t look to be in a particularly celebratory mood. Neither smiled as they made their entrance, and showed no sign of affection for one another.
