Donald Trump isn’t the only one making headlines right now, as his wife Melania Trump is also getting a lot of attention online.
The former First Lady has come under fire for promoting some patriotically-themed necklaces on Instagram, with social media accusing her of trying to “profit” from deceased veterans.
On May 23rd, the 54-year-old Slovenian-American former model reposted an advert from the USA Memorabilia collection in promotion of its Fortitude collection, which features a pair of necklaces in either ‘Bravery’ or ‘Liberty’ versions.

Melania Trump Promotes USA Memorabilia Collection Necklaces
The ‘Bravery’ design features a soldier and the U.S. flag, while the ‘Liberty’ one features an eagle in front of the U.S. flag, with the word “liberty” written at the bottom. Both necklaces are available in gold-plated and stainless-steel materials, with the gold-plated pendant costing $175 and the stainless-steel costing $125.
“The Fortitude Collection celebrates our service members, our Nation, and our freedom,” reads a description on the website, which also adds that the pendants can be engraved with “names, initials, significant dates, and symbols to create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.”
Melania Trump Criticized Online
As expected, the collection was met with a lot of criticism online. "This is beyond reprehensible," wrote one person in the comments section of the mom-of-one's Instagram post. "My father and uncle fought in WWII they fought for democracy – the very thing your grifter family is trying hard to destroy," they added. "When will this disturbing family stop grifting?" asked another user, in agreement, as a third unimpressed user wrote: "Melania Trump, shame on you for profiting off dead veterans. Sneakers, Bibles, Now this."
"What in the TEMU grift is this," quipped another user, followed by the crying emoji. "What a cheap piece of tat. Using the armed forces to grift money from people! It's shameless," wrote another, adding: "Did Donny not give you the deal you wanted on your renewed prenup?" "Fresh from the dollar store!" exclaimed another.
"Are you donating all the money to our veterans? I didn't think so. Go away! Shameful!" exclaimed another disappointed user. "Are you donating the money to Wounded Warrior or another group that helps veterans? No, right? It's going to pay your husband's legal fees," speculated another Instagram user.
