Donald Trump isn’t the only one making headlines right now, as his wife Melania Trump is also getting a lot of attention online.
The former First Lady has come under fire for promoting some patriotically-themed necklaces on Instagram, with social media accusing her of trying to “profit” from deceased veterans.
On May 23rd, the 54-year-old Slovenian-American former model reposted an advert from the USA Memorabilia collection in promotion of its Fortitude collection, which features a pair of necklaces in either ‘Bravery’ or ‘Liberty’ versions.
The ‘Bravery’ design features a soldier and the U.S. flag, while the ‘Liberty’ one features an eagle in front of the U.S. flag, with the word “liberty” written at the bottom. Both necklaces are available in gold-plated and stainless-steel materials, with the gold-plated pendant costing $175 and the stainless-steel costing $125.
“The Fortitude Collection celebrates our service members, our Nation, and our freedom,” reads a description on the website, which also adds that the pendants can be engraved with “names, initials, significant dates, and symbols to create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.”
