Melania Trump Releases 'Melania Meme'

Melania took to her X account, formerly known as Twitter, to announce her latest item for sale. "The Official Melania Meme is live!" she wrote. "You can buy $MELANIA now." She also attached a link—melaniameme.com—that explains exactly what it is she's selling.

"Melania memes are digital collectibles intended to function as an expression of support for and engagement with the values embodied by the symbol MELANIA," the website description reads. It then goes on to assure purchasers that the memes "are not intended to be, or to be the subject of, an investment opportunity, investment contract, or security of any type." One Melania meme will cost you $235.21, and also offers the option to buy with crypto.

The Internet Brands Melania A 'Grifter' Yet Again

While it remains mostly unclear as to what Melania intends her fans to do with her Melania Meme, many of them are in agreement: this is a ridiculous grifting effort. "This is what you do hours before the inauguration?" one person asked on X. "You're a shameless grifter just like your husband."

"This is disgusted," agreed another user. "You are a 21st century coin clipper scamming people."

"It's wild how the US is starting to feel like 90s Russia," one person pointed out. "Politically back pyramid schemes are here—what's next?"

"The scammiest first family ever," one user added.

"Not sure how this helps the crypto space at all," a final user posted. "This is an embarrassment for the United States."
