It’s no secret that Melania Trump never set out to be involved in the political world, yet here she is again, facing four more years in the White House as the First Lady. Despite the honor and responsibility that comes with this role, Melania reportedly has no interest in prioritizing it. Keep reading for more information.
Melania Doesn't Care For Politics
An insider close to the Trump family revealed that while Melania does have some ideas about what she'd like to do as First Lady, it's not her number one priority—that spot is reserved for her son, Barron. "Politics is not her world. She doesn't believe she has obligations in the political world," the source explained. "But she does care about children and their well-being."
"Anything she may do in this administration," the source continued, "will happen if she has the time and interest to pursue it." Translation: I'll get to it when I get to it. While Donald is seemingly concerned about appearances when it comes to his wife, according to the insider, Melania "couldn't care less how she looks politically."

What Will Melania Be Remembered For?
Many First Ladies are remembered for the focus of their missions: Michelle Obama focused on health and wellness for children, Jackie Kennedy focused on the promotion of American arts and the preservation of its history. But according to this insider, Melania will likely be remembered for what she didn't do, rather than what she did.
"You can learn more about Melania by what she doesn't do or say," the source explained. She prefers to operate "in her own small circle of family members and one or two close friends. Her mind is filled with what she does every day, her own life, and what interests her."
