They may have a somewhat unconventional relationship, but Melania Trump seems to be playing the conventional role of the supportive wife, as she is reportedly keeping husband Donald Trump “calm” throughout his ongoing legal problems.
On August 13th, CNN wrote that the 77-year-old former president’s legal problems are growing “by the day.” But the former First Lady, 53, is reportedly doing her best to calm her husband, as according to an August 7th Page Six post, an insider revealed that she “is being credited by his friends with keeping President Trump ‘calm and focused.'”
How Is Melania Trump Helping Donald Trump Throughout His Ongoing Legal Problems?
"Friends whisper these last few weeks have been hard on Trump, and although he always presents a tough front, these constant legal assaults are affecting his day-to-day life," the insider added, before going on to suggest that Melania is proving to be even better for the front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination than his beloved rounds of golf, which have been known to soothe him through the tough times.
"Melania’s even better than his regular golf games at keeping his temper in check. She provides a peaceful life for him when he needs it," the source continued, adding that she tries to help him by doing little things like ensuring they have breakfast and dinner together, along with their 17-year-old son Barron, and turning off the news.

"The couple and their son [Barron] have breakfast and dinner together regularly at their residence at his Bedminster golf club. [Melania] literally turns the news off at times so they can watch something else together, and she frowns over telephone or social media use at the table," the source said. "Melania keeps him on track as a father and has in many ways stepped up to fill the place Ivanka [Trump] and Jared [Kushner] once had… She is his most intimate and internal sounding board."
And although she reportedly never wanted to be First Lady in the first place, she reportedly "backs his bid for a second term completely, and listens to him when he needs someone he can trust."
The source added: "She is obsessively private, she never gossips with even her closest friends, so Trump knows when they talk about important things it’s just between them. She listens and isn’t afraid to give her honest opinions and advice. The couple has worked out a schedule and routine that works for them. She is his secret weapon to staying grounded."
