Kellyanne Conway didn’t just discuss Donald Trump in her recently released book, Here’s The Deal: A Memoir, as she also had a lot to say about his wife, Melania Trump too. Interestingly, Trump’s former senior counselor said that the former First Lady really supported her during a “difficult” time, as she was quick to defend her when the former President was getting annoyed with her husband, conservative lawyer and Trump critic, George Conway, 58, and his constant anti-Trump tweets.
Throughout the memoir, Conway, 55, writes about the toll her husband’s public criticism of Trump, i.e., her boss, had on their marriage, and recalled one particular moment where she overheard a conversation between Trump, 75, and his wife, when he reportedly told her, “This guy is nasty. He won’t stop,” in reference to her husband. “And it’s our Kellyanne,” he reportedly continued. “She’s my top person. She knows a lot, too! What are we going to do?”
Conway then recalled the "calm" conversation she heard Melania, 52, have with her husband on the phone, where she reportedly said, "Donald, this is not her fault. And she is a big girl. Strong and confident." As per Conway's book, the former First Lady added: "We don't control our husbands—and you don't control us!"
"Trump couldn't argue with that," Conway continued. "I didn't ask for any of this. I felt awkward and embarrassed that the president of the United States and the First Lady had to spend even a minute on this and yet felt relieved and protected from what was becoming an armful of harmful." Woah! You can read more of Conway's confessions in Here's The Deal: A Memoir, which is out now.
