You could count one hand how many times Melania has joined her husband for events this year: together they traveled to North Carolina to visit the towns impacted by the destructive floods, and she was at his side for the Governors Ball last weekend. But other than that, she's been MIA. A source speaking to People explained that this is what the American people should expect from the First Lady, and that her absence "should not come as a surprise to anyone because this is how she lives."
"She will never be a traditional first lady," the insider continued. "That isn't who she is." The source also noted that she "has her own ideas on what she wants to do." And right now? That's filming her upcoming Amazon Prime Video documentary. She's "been involved with moving ahead on her own projects," the source confirmed.
Melania 'Can't Stand' Trump
Melania's lack of physical support for her husband has only underscored the reports that she "can't stand" him. Users online have pointed out that even when she is physically present with him, she looks absolutely miserable.
