As the election grows nearer and nearer and Donald Trump’s popularity in the polls continues to rise, it seems the Trump family is making plans for life after November if Trump does pull out a win over Joe Biden. It’s speculated that Barron Trump will attend New York University in the fall, and Melania, ever the over-protective mother, wants to stay close by, splitting her time between Washington, DC, and New York City, and taking a more hands-off approach to the First Lady role in order to stay very hands-on as a mother. Keep reading for more information.

Barron Trump to Attend NYU & Melania Will Stay Close By

Barron just graduated high school this past May, and is thought to be attending NYU in the fall, staying close to home. According to insiders, Melania is already planning for this, and is making being nearby a priority. "She's a hands-on mother, and is already planning to spend part of every month—and potentially every week—in NYC," a source told Page Six.

"Barron has never been completely on his own before—and with the added stress of him being both a freshman in college and potentially the son of a president in a predominantly Democratic city, [Melania] wants to be close… The added attention he’ll get if his father is president worries Melania."

So much so, that she plans to be there no matter what the circumstances are, even if the circumstances are becoming the First Lady. "She feels safe in NYC and in Trump Tower herself, and it’s Barron’s home, and that’s why she wants him to go to school in NYC,” the source said. “She can provide both emotional and physical support by being close by."

Donald & Melania Worked Out A Deal

While most First Ladies take the responsibility very seriously, and try and do as much good as they can while in the position, Melania is letting it take the back seat in her life. "Melania has made a deal with her husband that if he wins the presidency she will not have to be on first lady duty 24/7," a Trumpworld insider revealed.

"She does not want a non-stop schedule of events in the White House, and makes the point she can be both a hands-on mother and First Lady at the same time," the source continued. "Donald trusts Melania to bring up their son the same way he trusted Ivana to bring up their children… Donald feels it worked for Ivanka, Eric and Don Jr."

This is not a surprise, either, given that when Donald Trump won the presidency the first time, Melania delayed her own White House move-in day by five months in order to stay in New York with Barron as he finished school.
