On Thursday, July 25th, it was announced that Melania Trump will be releasing a memoir this fall. According to reports, the memoir will be called Melania, and will be released by Skyhorse Publishing.

However, it should come as no surprise to learn that the former First Lady‘s memoir has already received a lot of criticism, with many people slamming her for charging $150 (yes, you read that right!) for a pre-ordered signed copy.

Melania Trump's Memoir Is Being Billed As 'A Powerful And Inspiring Story'

The 54-year-old former First Lady's memoir is being billed by her office as "a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome adversity and defined personal excellence."

According to ABC News, the memoir announcement claims that Melania "invites readers into her world, offering an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life." It added: "Melania includes personal stories and family photos she has never before shared with the public."

As expected, X, formerly Twitter, was rife with negative comments from its users, many of whom thought her book would be plagiarized from Michelle Obama's Becoming. No doubt this opinion was due to Melania's speech from the Republican National Convention in 2016 seemingly being plagiarized from Michelle Obama's speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Check out that viral moment below.

Social Media Believes Melania Trump's Memoir Will Be Plagiarized From Michelle Obama's

"$150 grift for plagiarism," quipped one person on X. "LMAOOOO! $150 for a book that's going to end up in the bargain bin at Barnes and Noble within the next couple of months? No thanks," commented another. "Is she calling it 'Becoming'?" the same user asked, in reference to Michelle Obama's own memoir.

"How much you want to bet she just took Michelle's book and changed the names inside?" asked another, in agreement. "Wait – has anyone checked to see if this is a rebranded version of @MichelleObama's Becoming?" questioned another. "What did she do, just glue her picture on the cover of Michelle Obama's biography?" another commented.

More Social Media Criticism

"Translation: ChatGPT is done writing her memoir," joked another X user, while many others insisted that they wouldn't be purchasing or reading the memoir, while others took offense at the price of the memoir. "She's selling a book for $150.00? The shameful grifting never ends," slammed one user. "Hardest ever of hard passes," confirmed another.

"150.00? Did Donald put her up to this? 150.00 for a stamped signature? No thanks!" exclaimed another. "I wouldn't spend one cent buying her book, knowing it would go to Trump for his campaign!" concurred another. "You've got to be kidding! As much of a grifter as her husband. All cashing in!" echoed another. "Lol the grift continues," added another user.
