Who needs red on Valentine’s Day when you can make a statement like Melania Trump? The First Lady totally switched things up with her own stylish take!
In a photo posted on Instagram, Melania and President Donald Trump marked Valentine’s Day at what appeared to be a dinner gathering with friends. Posing for a picture, she looked stunning in a fitted lace midi skirt by Cara Cara, cinched at the waist with a thick white belt. She completed the look with a simple, short-sleeved white blouse.
The black-and-white snapshot captured her beaming beside her husband, with her brown hair styled in soft waves, adding to her signature elegant style.
At the Mar-a-Lago event, President Trump smiled from ear to ear as he opted for his signature tuxedos.
Fans were excited to see the couple over the holiday weekend, with many calling the mother of one a “classy lady.”
Since the inaugural ball, Melania has consistently turned heads with her effortlessly chic style. Her longtime stylist and designer, Hervé Pierre, even shared insights into her fashion choices, proving that her impeccable taste extends beyond public appearance.
“She is always impeccably dressed, even when not in public: a pair of skinny pants and a crisp white shirt is usually her signature look,” Pierre told HELLO! in an exclusive cover story and interview.
“She likes tailored suits and sharp lines. She will not start wearing ruffles and floral prints just because she is starting a new chapter. She gravitates towards strong tailoring, sleek looks, and perfect cuts with no fuss. Her style has been consistent for years; there is no reason why she would change it,” he noted. “It will evolve, certainly, but the core of her look will remain in the same vein. She was always confident in her choices—I am just helping her.”
He also took a moment to clarify that none of her outfits have any hidden meanings or messages, despite what the media says: “For the message she tried to send… there is none. I’m aware that it’s trendy to analyze everything, but I wonder how many of your readers, when they get dressed, are thinking, ‘What is the message I will give to the world today?’ Certainly, none of them [and] it is the same for Mrs. Trump.”
Working for the First Lady as a stylist is a job with immense pressure, and Hervé emphasizes that looking for clothes with hidden meanings would make it impossible to deliver outfits in a timely manner. “Finding clothes for this type of lifestyle is already a lot of work; if I had to think each time about which coded message was behind every look, I would never be able to deliver my work on time. If the look is appropriate for the occasion and looks great, my job is done.”
