Melania Trump Reportedly Won't Live In The White House If Donald Trump Wins The Election
Sources close to Melania have told Axios that while she may stay for a long weekend here and there, she probably won't move in. Instead, she'll divide her time between the Mar-a-Lago resort where she and Donald enjoy spending time and New York City, the location of both Trump Tower and New York University—the rumor mill is saying that their son, Barron, could be attending NYU in the fall.
This would be a first—something the Trumps are beginning to get very good at, with Donald Trump recently becoming the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes. But, Melania doesn't seem to care. "Melania does what Melania wants," Mary Jordan, author of The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump, says. "She's distancing herself even more from her husband and from the Washington social political scene."
Melania Trump Distances Herself From Her Husband
With lawsuits piling up and decades-old affairs resurfacing, plus the brand new title of "felon" added to Donald Trump's record, it's really not difficult to understand why Melania Trump has no interest in being associated with her husband anymore.
Despite Donald Trump's assurances that Melania "loves the country" and is definitely still his wife, Melania has barely shown up to any campaign events, making it clear that she doesn't support her husband's presidential endeavors. She's also been notably absent for his various court cases, including his most recent hush money trial, where he was found guilty of falsifying business records to cover up the $130K he paid adult film star Stormy Daniels in hush money. We wouldn't show up either, Melania!
