Melania Trump made a glamorous appearance at her husband Donald Trump‘s Madison Square Garden rally earlier this week, donning a long zebra-print coat with sleek black heels. For the October 27th appearance, the former first lady, 54, wore her caramel-colored tresses down, parted in the center and styled into elegant loose waves.
Melania also caught the internet’s attention for an awkward moment where she appeared to evade her spouse Donald’s kiss, which quickly went viral. Right after her introduction at the rally, Donald, 78, moved in for a kiss, but his wife elegantly averted her face, leading to a series of air kisses instead of a direct lip-to-lip contact. Online commentators quickly deemed the moment “awkward” and “staged,” capturing the public’s immediate interest.
Melania Trump Captures Internet's Attention With Stylish Zebra-Print Coat And Awkward Moment With Husband Donald
As reported by The Hinduistan Times, one user on social media wrote soon after the moment went viral: "How he wants us to want him, when his own damn wife hates him." Another added: "Melania hates that man. Sis can’t even hide it!"
On X (f0rmerly Twitter), others agreed. One quipped that the former president is "still not allowed to kiss his wife on her lips." Over the weekend, Melania made this rare appearance on the campaign trail in New York City, greeting the crowd late into the evening in what she and Donald consider their "hometown."
As she told the audience: "Our hometown, where architectural symbols of strength, courage and unity, create a canvas for the world’s undisputed capital of industry, where titans of finance, fashion and entertainment convene among an iconic range of superior design, structures and artistic accomplishments."
Melania had remained largely silent on the 2024 campaign trail, seldom seen alongside her husband. Instead, she chose to dedicate her time to their son, Barron, 18, splitting her days between Florida and New York City.
She did, however, memorably join Donald in Milwaukee at the Republican National Convention, just days after he was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania. Opting not to speak on stage, she released a statement addressing the assassination attempt. Melania relocated to NYC just before Barron started college in September, having completed high school in Palm Beach.
Her campaign events have been selective and lucrative, including a notable appearance at a Log Cabin Republicans gathering in the spring, according to the New York Post.
She has also recently released her memoir, Melania, and has been prominently featured in the media, where she shares insights on her life, perspectives on women's issues, and thoughts on abortion.
