It’s no secret that there’s been some tension between Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa. Now it looks like Strahan is opening up about their alleged feud and the current status of his friendship with the Live! star.
Need a refresher? Strahan shocked fans when he announced his sudden exit from Live! with Kelly & Michael back in 2016, leaving watchers struggling to piece together what happened.
This is was quite the drama at the time, but luckily, Strahan landed more hosting jobs at Good Morning America after this unexpected fallout.
It turns out that Ripa did have some involvement in the former football player’s exit. Though Strahan didn’t get into the specifics, he did imply that there was a strain in his relationship with the longtime daytime T.V. host.
“I haven’t spoken to her in a long time,” he continued.
So, did the two ever resolve their issues? Strahan doesn’t seem to think that’s a possibility.
“I learned through all that went down with that, you can’t convince people to like you,” he told TIME Magazine.
