Michelle Obama has announced some disappointing news for Americans who missed seeing her and her husband in politics, more specifically, in the White House.
During her appearance on a new episode of Kylie Kelce’s podcast, Not Gonna Lie, the former First Lady explained that she would never run for president, as she wants to protect her children and give them a break from actively being in the public eye. Many of us know politics can get ugly, and Michelle is not going to let her daughters experience any additional negativity or attention, if she can help it. Kylie Kelce Interviews Michelle On The 'Not Gonna Lie' Podcast
The Chicago-native recently sat down for an interview with Kylie, who gained popularity after marrying and creating content with NFL star Jason Kelce. The two spoke on a video call for an episode of Kylie's podcast, Not Gonna Lie, where they chatted about motherhood, marriage, and more.
Michelle revealed some vulnerable information, including the fact that when her two daughters, Malia and Sasha, were younger, Barack wanted to have a third baby. She mentions she had to put her foot down, admitting she was scared to add another member to their family, as there was a chance they'd "get a crazy one."
The Becoming author also touched on the topic of being a new mom and dealing with post-partum depression, explaining that she dealt with feelings of sadness and insecurity when her daughters were babies. Michelle said she admires Kylie's "courage," as she is currently pregnant with her fourth child.
While it was very fun for viewers to see the political figure and podcast host have such an easy-going, relatable conversation, one piece of information stood out to fans of the Obama family.

Michelle Admits She Doesn't Intend To Run For Office
At one point in the podcast episode, the former attorney admitted that although some of her supporters and fans have been asking her to run for office amidst President Trump's latest election victory, she has no plans to get back into the White House.
Her reasons don't have much to do with not wanting to work in politics again, but more for the sake of her family and their mental health.
"When people ask me would I ever run, the answer is no," she explained.
"If you ask me that, then you have absolutely no idea the sacrifice that your kids make when your parents are in that role."
Michelle went on to explain that her two girls, who are now 26 and 23, are "just now establishing themselves" and that putting them back in the spotlight would be a disservice to them.
"I think we've done enough," she added. "They've already served their time."
Although some are disappointed that they won't see Mrs. Obama working on Pennsylvania Avenue anytime soon, her reasons for wanting to stay out of the Oval Office are entirely valid. However, many are relieved to hear that she and Barack are still going strong despite recent divorce rumors, and are getting ready to celebrate 33 years together later this year.
