Michelle Pfeiffer has been a style icon for decades, so it’s no wonder that she actually styled one of her best fashion moments (in our humble opinion). The actress made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, December 7th, in a low-cut velvet black dress from Yves Saint Laurent with lace-trimmed sleeves. She talked about being nominated for a Critics Choice Award for The First Lady, working on the Marvel film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and how she created her genderless fragrance line, Henry Rose.
Michelle Pfeiffer Stuns In A Plunging Black Velvet Dress From YSL
The Batman Returns star did her own hair, makeup, and styling for her appearance on Jimmy Fallon. She wore a black velvet Yves Saint Laurent dress from the Pre-Fall 2022 collection. The dress featured lace-trimmed sleeves, a plunging neckline, and two decorative floral gold buttons. Michelle's outfit fell just above her knees.
She accessorized with sheer black tights, a pair of black Sarah Flint Perfect pumps, and chic drop pearl earrings. As for glam, Michelle styled her blonde hair straight and parted down the middle. Her light tresses contrasted with the black outfit. She opted for dramatic eye makeup with full lashes, dark eyeshadow, and plenty of eyeliner. The Henry Rose founder added just a little bit of rosy blush and a light pink lip—although she clearly doesn't need any makeup considering how ageless she looks without it.
Considering the unique hooded gowns and edgy LBDs celebrities have been wearing lately from YSL, the perfectly simple dress Michelle wore is unlike anything we've seen from the fashion brand. We also can't help but wonder if the actress's iconic Catwoman alter-ego would wear this all-black outfit!
